Ellen is really very emotional compared to many children her age and I wonder if this is something associated with her dyslexia. Both I and her dad are very laid back people and so we're a bit taken aback that Ellen is so uptight and emotional really. She has emotional outbursts that are practically unprovoked and she seems quite immature for her age really. She struggles to make friends and keep them because of her unstable emotional state and I worry that she is going to unintentionally separate herself from her peers because of this. I just don't know how to tackle this without making her feel bad about herself, because that's another thing that she's good at (blaming herself for everything and taking it personally). Any ideas would be very much appreciated, thanks.
